PARKING FOR THE 2008 OML ANNUAL CONFERENCE

PARKING: USE THE RENAISSANCE HOTEL OR THE CENTRAL PARKING LOT ACROSS FROM THE HOTEL. PARKING VOUCHERS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THESE TWO LOCATIONS.

1) The RENAISSANCE HOTEL tells us the they can accommodate all of our attendees in the hotel parking garage. All cars parking in the hotel garage must use VALET PARKING.
(People staying overnight at the hotel should use the hotel parking garage. People not staying overnight will find the hotel parking garage convenient, also, but may use the Central Parking Lot as a backup. Either way, the OML will pay for the parking at both locations.)

2) As a backup attendees may use the CENTRAL PARKING LOT, on the corner of 3rd and Gay Streets, across the street from the Renaissance. The lot may be entered from Gay Street or 3rd Street. The Garage address is: 72 East Gay St., 614-224-1320.

Parking Vouchers will be given out at the OML Conference Registration Desk. People checking out of the garage or lot each day will need a voucher for each day.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

OML - REGISTRATION
Everyone attending must register. A form follows to assist you in choosing which days you will attend. This form is to be returned directly to the OML offices. In recognition of those municipalities that send several delegates to the annual conference, we are offering:

Cities - for each 6 full registrations paid from the same city, the 7th will be complimentary.

Villages - for each 3 full registrations paid from the same village, the 4th will be complimentary.


Special conference registration forms are to be used by exhibitors and conference supporters. Contact League offices for copies of these forms.

EXHIBITS
Probably one of the most popular places at the conference is the exhibit hall. Companies that provide products and services to cities and villages will be available to meet with delegates when the exhibit area opens at 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning. Prizes will be awarded only in the exhibit area and refreshments will be available throughout the day. The exhibits will close Thursday evening with a reception featuring a wide variety of food and beverages plus entertainment.

HOTEL AND PARKING
Exhibits, general sessions and workshop sessions will all be held at The Columbus, A Renaissance Hotel, 50 North 3rd Street, Columbus Ohio. You will need to make hotel reservations online with these links: Single Room (1 King) or Double Room (2 Queen) The OML rate for Single/double room is $139.00 per night plus applicable taxes. The cut off date for making reservations is September 9, 2008. Parking information will be posted on the OML website in August.

ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING
The annual business meeting of the League will take place Thursday at the luncheon session. During this important meeting, one-half of the Board members will be elected for a two-year term. Nominations should be submitted to the OML offices by September 25, 2008. The Nominating Committee will meet Wednesday afternoon, October 1st. during the conference

RESOLUTIONS
Suggested conference resolutions by OML members for consideration during the business meeting should be mailed to the OML offices prior to September 25, 2008. The Resolutions Committee will meet Wednesday afternoon, October 1st.

GET ACQUAINTED RECEPTION
For those arriving Wednesday, October 1, there will be a Get Acquainted Reception where new attendees will have an opportunity to meet with other officials who have attended before.
